I took steps into the unknown, and ended up squarely in the middle of, well… the unknown.

What I hoped would be a relatively short season of digging deeper into my artistry was lengthened by the arrival of our third little blessing, and became an extended “between” where I wondered if I would even get back to music… ever. If I would complete—or even just continue, haha—the journey I had started.

But the cool part?

God did some special work there.

In the time when I was made to pause. To wait. To focus more on other parts of my life... God allowed me to keep exploring my sound.

Baby in one arm, computer on the couch beside me, I can hardly believe it - but I started learning to produce my own music. (Without AI just to be clear, haha)

I went from believing music production was completely beyond my capabilities to being able to lay the foundations for what I could hear in my head but had never been able to explain.

And I'm certain I would never have pursued developing in this area if I hadn't been made to stop “moving forward.”

What a kind and gracious Father. What a sovereign and purposeful God.

Between was meaningful to me when I started it. 

But now, it means even more.

Because Between isn't just about the songs I've written. It's about the artist I'm becoming.

This short album is a continuation of my journey to figure out who I am as an artist—to explore my sound, stretch creatively, and make room for something new while continuing to share the faith that has always been at the heart of my music.

Unlike Beginnings, these songs don't follow a specific journey through a painful season. Instead, each one reflects a different piece of my heart. A different place I've been. Something I’ve learned. Something I want to say.

And maybe that's why I believe that this project will bless others.

Because I'm realizing that being “between” isn't just part of my story as an artist.

It’s the human experience.

So maybe today, you’re somewhere between, too.

Between the person you were and the person you're becoming.

Between what you thought your life would look like and what it actually looks like.

I'm learning to trust God with my journey.

Maybe you're learning to trust Him with yours, too.

And that's what Between has become for me: a declaration of God's faithfulness in the unknown.

Sometimes, the very place where we feel like nothing is happening, is the place where God is preparing us for what's next.

I'm still in the middle.

I'm still becoming.

But I'm taking this next step of faith to keep sharing my songs—and I'd love for you to come with me.
